Today is the last day of our official winter and it snowed. Not a lot but it did snow, now it’s bucketing down with rain.
There are small signs of spring popping up everywhere, buds are beginning to appear on trees and crocuses are taking over muddy patches on the ground. I do feel spring is late this year though?
I recently went to the cinema with Logan my son to see the movie called, “Lion.”
It had been a very long day and it was a late showing, but wow the movie was great. It kept me lost in the movie from the moment it started to the moment it ended. Time flew as delightful true story unfolded
Today I supported a young lady to host her first art exhibition and it was a joy to see her happy and proud of herself.
Yes prior to the exhibition, there was worry, anxiety and stress from her but the joy of exhibiting her own work made all this dissappear into the mists of time.
I love travelling, but I am glad I live in Birmingham. The diversity of its culture is wonderful.
I got off the train at New St and wandered into the centre where a man was singing reggae along side an elderly colourful white lady started to dance, she put down her carrier bags jouned in
and danced smiling loudly with a mouth empty of teeth
Wow what fun it was being down by Albert docks in the storm. The wind almost blew me off my feet. ..and that’s no mean feat! My son Logan had to grab me to stop me being flown away
On the plus side, we managed to visit the Tate gallery, the Liverpool museum and the Beatles Story because everywhere was so quiet
I like Liverpool, there is loads to do and explore. My youngest son Logan and I have popped here for a few days, hot on our tail is Dorris, the worse storm in years.
We are staying in the famous Adelphi hotel, so far Walker museum tick . World museum tick (2 floors) .Matthew St tick.
Still to do….loads
One step closer to the launch of the smiling brain app….it’s on my phone in a little icon and opens. Whoop whoop
Yes there are a few teething problems the main on being it doesn’t work…open tick. Plays sound. ..cross. not as yet
But one step closer
It’s not yet spring but the weather is a delight at the moment.
News articles all day long had photos of people sunbathing, sunny scenes from down south. The sunbathing weather never quite made it to Birmingham but it was mild considering we are still in February
Very occasionally I watch mainstream TV, this is one of those times. I am currently gripped in the mists of the strange series called Taboo.
It started as a one off just to check out the programme , then thanks to modern technology I saw most of the remaining episodes within a few days. Back to reality. ..where’s episode 8? Has it finished? No I had caught up with the episodes, I will have to wait until Thursday for episode 8, well that’s a shocker. ..even bigger than the cliff hanging episode 7 closing scenes!
Amongst the many things I do, I organise and facilitate mindful walks. This morning was one such walk.
Sunday morning in February with spring in the air we met in Highbury Park car park, and spent a delight morning collecting colours, stones and being in the moment.
